The tesla x 2023 is an all-electric SUV with seating for seven and plenty of luxury tech. It’s also a little odd, with its controversial falcon doors that open upwards (in what is effectively a space-age fart mode).
Even so, it occupies an intriguing niche in the automotive market. It’s a large, comfortable and very capable family car with the sort of acceleration that would embarrass most sports cars. It has a great EPA-estimated driving range (348 miles), plus it’s easier to park than most vehicles on the road.
In fact, it can even go from almost a stop to 60 mph in a breath-taking 2.5 seconds. And that’s just the Plaid version; the regular Model X can do it too, though not quite as quickly.
The Tesla X is also very quiet inside. Its minimalist cabin is dominated by a giant 17-inch touchscreen that’s the hub for nearly all controls. It’s not as intuitive to use as systems in more traditional premium brands, but it’s still a huge improvement on the aircraft-style steering wheel that Tesla introduced last year.

Like other Teslas, the X gets a constant stream of over-the-air software updates that can add new features or improve performance. The latest one, for example, lets the X autonomously exit parallel or perpendicular parking spaces. It can also fend off pedestrians and other vehicles as it moves out of its space, which is a handy way to avoid collisions.
